Refund & Weather Policy MD World Baseball Association Tournament Refund & Inclement Weather Policy In efforts to keep the integrity of the program, these policies set forth will be used in all World Baseball Association events in Maryland. In the event of inclement weather, please note that it is a courtesy for the Director to use a facility and it is the Field Owner(s) decision to allow field maintenance, materials, or any other work on a field. If the field is deemed not playable and games have to be rescheduled or canceled, please refer to the refund policies listed below. If all pool games are played on Saturday and Sundays bracket games are canceled due to inclement weather Tournament Champions & Final seeding will be determined by pool games played on Saturday by current World Baseball Association tiebreaker rules. If all pool games are canceled on Saturday and Sundays Bracket are rescheduled - seeding will be determined by current World Baseball Association points. In the event two or more teams do not have current World Baseball Association points, the Director will draw from the lowest sanction number to the highest sanction number. ** See refund policies below. ALL ENTRY FEES MUST BE RECEIVED by Tuesday  Week of  THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT. Refund/Cancellation Policy For all events, the policy will be as follows 1. If a team withdraws for any reason less than 10 days from the event date, no refund will be given. It will be credited to another tournament date. 2. If a team plays zero (0) games because the event is canceled due to rain or other unforeseen circumstances, the entry fee paid, less a $75 administration fee, will be refunded. 3. If a team starts or plays one (1) game in the event and the event is canceled due to rain or other unforeseen circumstances, a refund of 50% of entry fee will be given. 4. If a team starts or plays two (2) games in the event and the event is canceled due to rain or other unforeseen circumstances, no refund will be given. 5. When entering events, it is the team manager’s responsibility to email the Director notifying him that your team is not coming to an event before or after the cutoff. Once game times have been posted, your team is responsible for the full amount of the entry fee. 6. 4 teams or more after the cut-off date will be considered an event and these policies will follow. 7. If an event is canceled due to lack of teams, there will be a refund less 75.00 administration fees. It will be the team’s decision if they want to transfer the fee to another event with the Director or get a full refund. All refunds will be processed and postmarked by the Director no later than (14) Days after the scheduled completion date of the event. 8. If the event is scheduled to play at the Blue Crab Stadium then each team is only guaranteed (1) game in the stadium but could play more. Thank you for your support of MD World Baseball Association.
